Rocks and Jewels

I'm not a stranger to pain, and for that reason, I don't like to see my friends get hurt, it hurts. I want for them, what I want for myself; love and light. I want them to smile and laugh freely without burdens or preoccupations. How you tell a friend "I am here, always"? I try be to a friend to my friends, I really do, and I think it's because I have incredible new and old friends; it's all about gratitude. I want for all my dear friends to find that special person to share their beautiful hearts with, real love. I have friends closer than my own siblings, family I've chosen. I want happiness for those extraordinary rocks and jewels in my life.

Viento & Agua • LBGLP Festival

A fun-packed weekend with back-to-back performances! 

The 1st one was as a guest artist at Viento y Agua Coffee House in Long Beach as part of my friends Amanda & Shani's West Coast Tour. It was so rewarding to see new and familiar faces in the audience. Also, it served as an opportunity to network with other artists.

On the Interfaith Stage

The 2nd one was at the LBGLP Festival in Long Beach. I was invited to sing in the Interfaith Stage. Most of the songs were inspirational and Christian. In addition, people were very receptive and friendly. There was also a very cool group of friends that were incredibly supportive and kind to come and see me perform... for the 1st time.

May these performances be the start of great things and bigger venues ;)

Adiós Tito

Qué triste es despedirte Tito... siempre con buen ánimo y buena cara donde quiera que nos veíamos. Recuerdo que la última vez nos encontramos en el Conde, sin saber que esa sería la última vez. Siempre esperabas que te preguntara "tú sabe lo que yo pensé?" y tú respondías "Ay coñ*!". Espero que descanses en paz querido amigo.

La Fecha

Después de 2 años (y un chín) se acerca la fecha de mi graduación (Mayo 28) aquí en Long Beach City College. Par de años, varios meses, muchas semanas, días interminables y horas eternas estudiando música, trabajando como tutor de 3 materias (si mi profesora de Lengüa Española, Ana Peguero, me viera...): Español, francés e historia norteamericana, y viviendo innumerables experiencias que me han hecho crecer. No me puedo quejar, Dios me ha bendecido con tanto... no me quejar. Tengo una familia tan linda y amigos que admiro tanto; Desde aquí los aprecio mucho más y siempre estoy en la mejor disposición de hacer nuevas amistades. 

Ayer salió una entrevista que me hicieron de la revista del college y este fin de semana estaré cantando en 2 shows... aún es el comienzo de muchas cosas buenas que están en camino.

Siempre me ha gustado esta canción de Ace of Base, pero ahora tiene un sentido MAYOR!!! Las letras lo dicen TODO, jejeje. Ese momento de abrir los ojos a cosas que desconocemos es algo poderoso y nos da fuerza... a veces, Dios nos pone cosas en el camino para aprender y crecer, seguir adelante, ser mejores. Ojalá estuviera en Santo Domingo para verlos en vivo, porque me trae recuerdos del Colegio Véritas (1993, 1ro. de bachillerato), mis amigos... bendiiito.

Serenata/Serenade'09

Mi gente linda,

El día llegó y los videos están aquí. Debo agradecer a todos los que sometieron sus peticiones y sobre todos a los que corrieron a ponerlas. Fue una semana interesante aprenderme nuevas canciones para complacerlos.
